For Saturday, January 15, 2021 - Parashat Beshalah: Today, we're chanting the Song of the Sea, as the Israelites cross the Sea of Reeds on dry land. To reenact their song and dance, we sing a few verses responsively. After Rabbi Sydni chants the following verses, please repeat either in English or Hebrew (transliteration below)!

15:1bAshirah L'Adonai ki ga'oh ga'ah / Sus v'rokhvo ramah va'yam

I will sing to Adonai, for God has triumphed gloriously / Horse and driver, God has hurled into the sea.

15:2aOzi v'zimrat yah / vay'hi li lishuah

God is my strength and my song / God has become my deliverance.

15:3 - Adonai ish milhamah / Adonai sh'mo

Adonai, the Warrior / Adonai is God's name!

15:6 - Y'minkha Adonai nedari ba'koah / Y'minkha Adonai tiratz oyeiv

Your right hand, Adonai, glorious in power / Your right hand, Adonai, shatters the foe!

15:11 - Mi khamokhah ba'eilim Adonai, mi kamokhah nedar ba'kodesh / Nora t'hilot oseh fele

Who is like You, Adonai, among the mighty; who is like You, majestic in holiness/ Awesome in splendor, working wonders!

15:16b - Ad ya'avor amkha Adonai / ad ya'avor am zu kanita

Till Your people cross over, Adonai/ Till Your people cross whom You have ransomed.

15:18 - Adonai yimlokh l'olam va'ed

Adonai will reign forever and ever!

15:21b - Shiru l'Adonai ki ga'oh ga'ah / sus v'rokhvo ramah va'yam

Sing to Adonai, for God has triumphed gloriously; Horse and driver, God has hurled into the sea.
